I had this up for sale before and ended up trading it, then bought it back!..Ikeep going back and forth on ampeg preamps. when I don't have one, I miss them. when I have one I love em, but for some reason doesn't ever hit the stage. this one is in great condition. cosmetically it looks great with very minor rack rash, couple scratches on the ears, but not all chewed up or anything. slight cracklies when you push in some buttons, but all work fine and make no noise once engaged. this one is really quiet too. I play it with the gain at noon, drive about 1-2 o'clock, eq engaged, and master on full and at live volumes it only has a very minimal amount of hiss. i'm a noise Nazi and it doesn't bother me. if you turn the gain or drive up past 2 o'clock there is some more, but at that point you're into overdriving the preamp and its not what I would use this pre for anyway. I think it excels at clean and moderately driven ampeg tones. comes with power cord. shipping to lower 48 only.
