UPDATE: 4-space Gator Rack now included at this price!

Selling my trusty SS Ampeg head. This puppy was made in the late-'80s, early '90s in the USA. It will do 400W into 8 ohms mono bridge, or 2x 200W into two 4 ohm loads, stereo or bi-amp.

Features:
3-band EQ: Low (pull for Ultra-Lo,) Mid (pull for graphic EQ,) High (pull for Ultra-Hi)
6-band graphic EQ, footswitchable with level control
Compressor
Electronic crossover for bi-amping
Peak Limiter
Transformer balanced D.I. direct out with a variable level control on the front panel

Link to the owner's manual

This is a classic SS "lead sled." It's pretty heavy, around 35 lbs., but it's solid and sounds great. This is definitely a step up in terms of performance from something like a B2 / B2RE. It's 3U rack mountable, and I have a 4U Gator rack available separately.

This guy matches up really well with an 810E cab (it will comfortably run TWO 810E's...) or a 410HLF / 115E rig, depending on impedances. I ran it for years into an SVT1540HE with zero issues. It's a classic.

Asking $250 plus actual shipping from 27526. No trades, please - trying to pay some bills.

Pictures (sorry they're late...)

In the pictures of the back, you can see that a courtesy outlet has been added - this lets you stick this amp in a 4-space rack with a tuner on top and not need a power strip.

Includes a Gator GR-4L standard 4U audio rack.

Will this work with two 8 ohm cabs or one 4 ohm cab? How much juice would I get in each scenario?

Thanks!

You'll get somewhat less than full power into a higher impedance load. Generally I'd estimate the power / sqrt(2), or in this case 200W * 0.707 = 141 watts per channel into 8 ohms, or ~280 in mono bridged.

I'd recommend using the correct impedance load on an SS amp, but you'll be fine with your setup. Remember that since loudness is logarithmic, 60 watts / channel won't be that much difference in output volume.

Think of this amp as a stereo, rackmounted SVT200T and you're in the right ballpark.
