American made, SLM-era Ampeg SVT AV Classic head for sale. Just had it re-tolexed by a professional in standard Ampeg Black - there is not a mark on this head! Also had a certified tech re-tube the whole head with EHX/Sovtek 6550 power tubes, EHX 12AX7s, and GT 12AU7s. New input jacks, output jacks, and new knobs. I spent about $830 on the head between the tech bills and new tubes. The new, American made Ampeg Heritage series SVTs are selling for $2,400 and are essentially the same thing as this. I do have the standard AV silver grill cloth, which I can include in the sale if you'd like. I just had the tech put the black grill on to match my cabinet's black grill cloth.
