Magnavox era V4b for sale. The amp is in very good condition with some scuffs on the original appearing tolex, character if you will. The face plate, lines, letters, and knobs are in very good original condition. Metal corner plates are nice and not dented or rusty. When I bought it the owner said new power tubes (matched 7027's) had been recently installed. The pots are clean, both channels are working, and both the power and standby indicators light up as they should. The grab handle on top is very tight and shows virtually no wear at all. There is one place on the back plate where the tolex was torn but reglued (see pictures). No other rips or tears, just some scuffs over the 30 something years it had been used. The inside of the amp is very clean and not rusty at all on the transformers or metal surfaces. Advantage of living in a very dry climate. The suspension system is in excellent shape and works like it should. I have used this amp very little but it has been gigged and never let me down.
Very nice original Ampeg amp with the Ampeg sound without the weight of an SVT. Gets really tubey about 12 o'clock and on with the Ampeg sound you all know and love. Very clean below that. This amp has always been plenty of power for me in a club setting competing with guitars and drums. This has been a really good amp and deserves a good home.
Have a new tube amp so this one needs to go.
