FS: Ampeg V4BH + SVT-15E (sniff)

Sign in to disble this ad
V4BH:

USA made, 100 all-tube watts, big and beautiful sound. Like an SVT with a 100W power section, it is loud enough for any medium size hall, and weighs far less than an SVT. Bought new and gigged gently, just a couple of small scuffs in the tolex but nothing major, works great. $750 or best offer.

SVT-15E:

Matching (i.e., has cups in the top for the feet on the bottom of the V4BH) black tolex 1x15 with no tweeter, will never let you down. $350 OBO.

Together they make the modern-day B-15, small, self-contained, relatively light but kicks like a mule. Bottom end is clear and fat! Perfect for rock, reggae, dub, hip-hop and funk of the grimy variety.

Made entirely in the US by Ampeg, before they were bought by China, along with everything else. I never wanted to sell this rig, but my wife is adamant. PM me for pics or more info. PayPal preferred.

Ari

PM's replied.

Before you ask, yes, I will ship internationally, but you pay all relevant costs including insurance, which is not required but is just a good idea.

Thanks for the offer. The B2R is a nice solid-state amp, but if I bring home another piece of gear, my lady will stick my head on a pike in the front yard.

RickenBoogie, the V4BH was my holy grail amp and still is. Hang on to yours, I would if I could.

The V4BH would be $750 SHIPPED. Sorry I didn't make that clearer.

Pics are pending, I have some old ones I took with my camera phone like a year ago but those wouldn't be current. Pics will be up on the listing tomorrow, I promise!

A close-up of the faceplate, and the back. Made in the USA, back when anything Ampeg was.

Do you think one of these would hang with a loudish drummer and three Fender Super Reverbs? We are going to be on some festival stages. I love the way these sound if it could hang, and I'm thinking that in part, that's what monitors are for.
