FS: Anchak Audio Works fEARful 1212/6/1

I've decided to sell this wonderful, but woefully underplayed fEARful cabinet. It's a 1212/6/1 built by Ron Anchak -- one of the most talented and painstaking of all the fEARful builders. It's in like-new condition -- you can only tell it has been used by looking at the bottoms of the casters.

It has two Eminence 3012LF woofers, one 18 Sound 6NM410 midrange driver and one 18 Sound high-frequency driver. This cabinet is capable of tremendous volume -- it's perfect for big stages, loud bands, or if you don't have FOH support. It's pretty light weight for a plywood build -- 66 lbs, I believe (close to the weight of a Bergantino AE 410, IIRC).

I paid $1,515 for the cabinet. I'll sell it for $1,015, with a heavily padded cover custom-made by StudioSlips. I will ship this cabinet, but the shipping is on the buyer. I have Ron's WONDERFUL shipping box -- possibly the best shipping container ever made. It cost me $170 to have it shipped here via Greyhound, although some of that expense was the shipping container. It'll probably cost about $125 to ship.

Here are some pictures taken by Ron at time of completion -- the cabinet is much-better looking in person though, and more compact than it looks in these pics. Since these were taken, the front-top Chevron corners and Mesa-style kickplate were installed and I've added the sexy fEARful badge.

I'll try to take better pictures this weekend.

- Greg

Thanks HT. This is easily the best-built cabinet I've owned!

All PM's answered. Thanks for the interest!

Please note that there's LOTS more information about these cabs on greenboy's forum.

4 ohm. I think all single woofer fEARful cabs are 8 ohm and all double-woofer cabs are 4 ohm.

Thanks for the offer, but that's too little for this cab.
Good luck with your search!

Little too rich for my blood too, but sure looks cool! I've been looking for one of these locally to try. Good luck!

I just played a 15/6/1 and a 12/1 courtesy of Chucko from the greenboy forum. They are great cabs if you want complete transparency. The low end is sweet and the tweeter gives it some great high freq support. I'm looking to get one myself... .

Superior design plus superior components plus superior build makes a fabulous cabinet! These cabs aren't budget cabs, although you can save some bucks if you have excellent woodworking and finishing skills. If you don't, but are willing to compromise on the fit-and-finish, you can still save!

This cab cost $1,515 to build, $170 to ship, and $135-ish for the well-padded StudioSlips cover. Considering the $1,820-ish total cost, top-drawer build, its as-new condition (both functionally and cosmetically) and its immediate availability, it seems like a good value to me.

Build one of these if you can, but if you're thinking of having one built, you can't do better than this cabinet!

But if Greg says " It's in like-new condition " you can take it to the bank. That's a fact.
