This is an ART SLA2 linear power amplifier. It can be used to power monitors or in other live sound applications, but many people use them as a power amp in their bass rigs, due in part to a high quality/power to cost ratio and the fact that they only take up one rack space. Here is the wattage info from the ART site:
Stereo Output Power, 8 ohms 200Watts RMS per Channel,
Stereo Output Power, 4 ohms 280Watts RMS per Channel
Bridged Output Power, 8 ohms 560Watts RMS mono
Stable into: 2 Ohms (stereo)
4 Ohms (mono)
Paired with a good preamp, this can be a quality rig which gives us two of the things we look for so often: quality for price and portability. The build quality on this Class B amp is outstanding.
More technical goodies:
Frequency Response 10Hz to 40kHz, +/- .5dB
Hum and Noise >100dB below clipping
Total Harmonic Distortion (THD) <0.05% (typical)
I figure it will cost about $25 to ship this thing CONUS, so I'm asking $250 shipped.
It has been used only a half dozen times, and has been housed in an SKB rack case its entire life. I bought it new. It was not a second or blem. I think I still have the box it came in.
You can see these at the ART site, or any place that sells power amps, but I'll try to post a picture later.
