This is my 3rd Ashdown and second Chinese made and besides pre conceived general concern about its quality I can state that sound and reliability wise I wasn't able to distinguish UK from Chinese make.

I totally agree with you.

I have A/B my share of UK and Chinese made same models and if a person didn't know where it was made they couldn't tell which one was UK or Chinese made.

The tones are pretty much the same.
