I hope I won't regret this but I'm offering for sale my Ashdown RPM1 John Entwhistle Signature Edition Tube Preamp. I bought it brand new in late 2000 I believe. Never gigged--studio and home use only. It is in terrific shape and sounds excellent. It is a rare pre since only 100 were made; 50 were sold in the US and 50 in the UK.
This one is also rare as that it is labeled "Klystron Bass Pre Magnifier"--apparently Ashdown only released a very limited number of amps labeled as Klystron until a lawsuit stopped them.
This one was made in the UK, of course.
Asking $465 OBO, shipped via UPS with insurance. Paypal ok if you add 3% to cover their fee. I can add more pictures if interested. I MUST sell this preamp this week--make offer before I place it on ebay, please. I need cash--the only trade I'm possibly interested in is a Carvin B1500 head.
Tons of info on this one available on the Web so I won't bore you with the details, but will just say that it sounds outstanding! More than one engineer has proclaimed this to be the "best they have ever heard."
