Up for sale are two 4 ohm Avatar cabs. I am the original owner of both, circa 2005. Both cabs are in great shape and function 100%. PayPal preferred.
Pic of both cabs (the rack equipment is NOT for sale): http://www.trya.us/images/studio/studio09.jpg http://www.trya.us/images/misc/AvatarPromo.jpg Avatar B210 4 ohm $200
This is the original model, prior to the Neo speakers. I recall they are the Delta Pro 10's which aren't offered any more. Adjustable crossover in the back and 1/4" connections. I'm guessing the weight is in the high 60's. Dave from Avatar said the cab is rated at 700W. Avatar B115 4 ohm $200
This is the original 1x15 model, no longer offered. It DOES have a Neo speaker. Adjustable crossover in the back and 1/4" connections. I'm guessing the weight is in the 50's. Dave from Avatar said the cab is rated at 500W.
For the moment, I'm going to say local pickup only. I live in 06801 and work in 06897. If you're in northern CT or NY boarding fairfield county, perhaps we can work out a meet or something. If there's not much local interest, perhaps I'll think about figuring out shipping.
Thanks for looking!

If it will run a 2 ohm load, it will run hotter and be louder. But if it cannot run a 2 ohm load, you will be shopping for a new amp as well.

If it's not printed on the amp itself, and it's not in the manual, then it's not gonna happen. I can tell you from first hand experience you will destroy an amp, because I accidentally did it one day!
I've been using the Avatar's with an amp (GB ShuttleMAX 12) that can drive each cab with a separate PSU, so I'm running two 4 ohm cabs independently. On the flip side, I believe I can run my AI Focus down to 2 ohms (never have), but I recall it's printed on the amp and in the manual.
Don't take chances with amps...or you'll be out $$$ like I was once...a mistake I will hopefully only ever make that one time!

| | He's like the guy in the Hefty bag commerical... | | Join Date: Feb 2006 Location: CT | | | When I first got these cabs, I was running a Hartke HA7000. I ran it in Bi-amp mode so it was loading each cab separately with 350W.
After I sold the Hartke, I went the separate pre & amp route, so each would take a side of a stereo power amp. For smaller shows, and depending on the music, I'd sometimes just run one cab with a small single channel bass amp.
As of late, I'm running a GB SM 12.0, which has two separate power amps. I believe I could also use my AI Focus down to 2 ohms, but I've never tried it. | | Thread Tools | Search this Thread | | | |
