FS: Avatar B212 Neo - 8 ohms - $290

Greetings!

I am selling my Avatar B212 Neo. It's in great condition and sounds fantastic. All of the hype about Avatar's cabs is valid; they sound much better than their price tags may suggest!

This particular cab is 8 ohms, has a metal grill, and is covered in carpet. According to the Avatar website, the cabs dimensions are as follows:

27H x 24.5W x 16.5D
Weight: 56 pounds

I would like to get $290 for the cab. It's in fantastic condition. I couldn't find any tears in the carpet and the speakers sound very good. I may regret selling this but it just isn't getting used around here. I also really want a Lakland Jazz bass so I have to make room for that.

I am not interested in trades right now. I am saving the money to purchase a Lakland so cash is preferred.

Here are a couple of pictures of the cab!

I would also very much prefer to do a local transaction on this. I am located in Iowa. I am certainly willing to drive and meet somewhere to make the deal work. Just send me a private message and we can try to arrange a meeting place and time.

Here is a map of Iowa. I have filled in the counties that I visit frequently to give you a point of reference. I'm pretty flexible with traveling, as well.

I would consider shipping the cab but I'm hesitant. I have never shipped a package this big before. Since I don't have a box large enough for this cab, I would probably have to take it to a packing store. The costs would add up quickly. I used the Fedex and UPS sites to generate quotes; each service estimated about $70 to get from my current location (52101) to the west coast (using my own packaging). I'm not sure about how accurate this would be since I don't have the cab packaged up. I don't know what the actual dimensions and weight will be.

It seems like FedEx usually offers more affordable and quicker service. That would be my carrier of choice.

I will do some more research about shipping a large item like this. I won't rule out the option of shipping the B212 but it would come at a price. I'll leave it up to the buyer to decide if it is worth the extra cost.

I won't be able to get accurate shipping quotes until I manage to find some packaging for the cab. I'll dig through the storage room tonight and see if we have any boxes that are big/thick enough.

I appreciate that you took the time to look at this ad. If you have any questions, send a private message. I'll get back to you as quickly as possible! In the meantime, I'm going to start looking for a box (just in case).

Best,

Justin

I have an update shipping. I went to the packing store and bought a box large enough to hold the cab. I've lined the bottom with several layers of extra cardboard for added strength. I still have to get some packing materials to pad the sides and top but I should definitely be able to ship it, if there are any interested buyers in the lower 48.

To make it simple, I am asking $340 packed and shipped anywhere in the continental US. I will send it out via FedEx Ground from Waterloo, IA. This is a savings of $100 off of the cost of an identical, new B212. The B212 that I am selling in is top condition with nearly no signs of wear. This thing sounds great!
