FS :: Avatar Delta Cabinets (2x12) and a (2x10)

Sign in to disble this ad
For Sale!

I had listed this for local trade only, but have found something that's really struck my fancy, and I'm planning to pull on it...

Delta Loaded Avatar 2x12 - $275
The 2x12 is one of the older Avatars before they added a speakon connector. This cabinet has Delta speakers, and a controllable tweeter just like the newer generations, it's just missing the Speak-Ons. This is a 4ohm cabinet rated at 500W, and has seen a lot of use, but still works flawlessly.

Delta Loaded Avatar 2x10 - $250
The 2x10 is a much newer version of the Delta cabinet (than the 2x12) and has seen a little bit less. This also has the same controllable tweeter, but the crossover capacitor has been upgraded to a like value audiophile grade capacitor (I was really trying to hear if there was a perceivable difference... I didn't notice much). This cabinet has no problems either, although one of the plastic corners is cracked, but still functions and stays in place.

These cabinets have seen a few bars, and are not flawless in terms of cosmetics, but I baby my gear and do all of my own load in-out so they're still in great shape. I also make sure to air everything out (fans and such) to make sure they don't smell of bar. I should also note that I haven't ever really pushed these things, and have never noticed any kinds of crackling or distortion due to overdriving them. I don't practice with these either, so the actual time on them is fairly low considering that I've had the 2x12 for about 3 years, and the 2x10 about 2.

These are local prices, I will consider shipping at the buyer's expense. I don't have any boxes for these right now either, but I can work that out. Trades will be mildly considered, but I really need the cash for them.

If your 2X12 is loaded with the Delta 12LF's, then cab is rated at 1,000 watts.

Anyway - free bump

The Avatar site says the B212 is 500 watts. The 410 is 1000 watts.

The 2x12 may be spoken for, but I've re-opened this, as I have more speakers than I need right now. Let me know if you're interested in either.

Thanks!

The 12s are not the ones with the screen in the center of the dustcap. I am making no claims right now as to the specific model of Delta's that are loaded into this cabinet, but I was told that they were Delta 12 LFs when I bought the cabinet a few years ago.

I currently have a 212 Delta and have considered adding a 210 on top like this; how do the 10's add or compliment to how the 212 sounds by itself?

The 10's add a nice compliment to the 212. I can't say that there's anything MISSING from the 2x12, but the 2x10 adds a nice fullness to the sound.

I can't say for certain that the 2x12 is 1000w, though I believe that it is. Let me know if you're interested, we can probably work something out.

Is the 2x10 cabinet 4 or 8 ohms? How many watts? Is it carpet or tolex covered?

They are both 4 ohm covered in carpet. The 2x10 is rated for 500W.
