Yes, you can/will color the tone a bit more depending on your rig. I would use a Carvin BX500 (nearly colorless in my opinon) and either a Berg NV610 or GK Neo212, and the cabs would add their own coloration to the overall tone. Basically, you can achieve a ton of different tones, much more than just what's under the hood of the POD. The really nice thing, since the Berg and GK are quite a bit different, I had several presets that I could use to get the two cabs a little closer in the tonal spectrum (it would never be dead on, due to several factors, including speaker size, and the Berg being sealed vs the GK being ported).
