Funny you mention it, because, I kid you not, I worked in a pizza place in Folsom when I was in high school, and the jukebox there automatically played that song, and a few others, when no one was putting in any money. Basically, the thing was set up to play the
least popular songs when no one was pumping in their own quarters, the idea being that someone would say, "Jesus, there's that awful song again. Quick, here's some money, go put something else on!"
I think of that every time I hear that song, or even just a reference to it, such as yours.
