FS: Demeter HBP-1 pre and Yamaha M7000S w/pics

I might regret this later but I have decided that I have to get a 20th Anniversary SWR Redhead and Extension cab so here it goes:

Demeter HBP-1 preamp that I just bought from Pedroims here on TB. There were 3 screws with stripped heads when I bought it and I removed them and replaced them with proper fitting stainless steel screws. Includes the factory GT 12AX7 tube as well as a Tung-Sol gold pinned 12AX7. The difference is very subtle. I'd say despite the screw issue it is in mint condition.

$425 shipped in the lower 48 states.

Yamaha M7000S power amp. This thing looks like it came out of the box. It is new. I have all the docs but I do not have the original box. What impresses me about this amp is not only is it very powerful but it is dead silent when at idle.

# Output Power
* 1kHz, THD+N=1% 8 Ohms Stereo: 750W + 750W
* 1kHz, THD+N=1% 4 Ohms Stereo: 1100W + 1100W
* 1kHz, THD+N=1% 8 Ohms Bridge: 2000W
* 20Hz-20kHz, THD+N=1% 8 Ohms Stereo: 700W + 700W
* 20Hz-20kHz, THD+N=1% 4 Ohms Stereo: 950W + 950W
* 20Hz-20kHz, THD+N=1% 8 Ohms Bridge: 1900W
* 1kHz, 20mS nonclip 2 Ohms Stereo: 1600W + 1600W
* 1kHz, 20mS nonclip 4 Ohms Bridge: 3200W

$375 shipped in the lower 48 states

If anybody has a 2008 or newer 20th anniversary SWR Redhead lets do a trade deal with some cash from me.

Pictures to follow as soon as I can locate the camera today. This stuff essentially looks brand new though.

A side note I am driving to Southern California tomorrow, Monday 9-21 (LA Area) if anybody down there is interested I'd be happy to meet you and do the deal in person.

Scott

demeter pre

Hello Scott,

Very interested in the preamp. Potentially interested in the poweramp as well. What type of cabinet setup did you drive with this power/pre rig. May I ask what type of out put you used? (ohms, bridged or stereo, etc)
I have never used a component system and curious to know how you think this would sound/feel through my eden 18xl and 410xlt? My eden 1205 is hurting and I decided that I need the headroom that a nice power amp can provide.

What type of deal are you thinking on the two?

Thanks for your time.

Hunter

I'm not in the market myself, but things I think other potential buyers might want to know:

How much does the Yamaha amp weigh?
How many inches deep is it? (Will it fit in a normal rack, or do you need a special deep rack like for the Crest CA-9?

(It looks a bit like a Yamaha version of the Crest CA-9 to me...)

Would you be willing to ship the preamp to the UK?

If anybody has an '08 or later SWR Redhead they want to work out a horse trade on let me know. Otherwise I will only accept full price offers and free shipping is off the table. Frankly this rig sounds too good to fire sale.

Sorry for being wishy washy. I think I am going to close out this thread and lick my wounds for now. Just not sure.
