Is the 1/4 out "treated" or is it just a thru jack? Just wondering if only the xlr gets the tonal goodness or if the 1/4 to your amp gets some love as well. Thanks

The 1/4" is just a direct Y off the input jack, no coloration added.

I believe it is just a thru jack. I run my REDDI with my SVT rig, and the thru allows my SVT setup to sound just like an SVT, while my IEM and FOH tone is generated by the REDDI.

I'm not 100% on this, but you could probably find a solid answer here:
REDDI Tube DI Mega Thread . Potential megathread that is.

Anyone try running out of the red di into the input on a power amp? I have been using an API module in the studio and loving the tone and fidelity, kind of looking for something similar tone wise for stage and studio, wondering if this could fit the bill? I have enough eq control on my bass, I think I could just get away with clean gain

That's exactly how I use my REDDI. I run the REDDI to the input of a solid state power amp, which I use as a headphone monitor for my IEMs. I EQ everything right on my bass, and the REDDI gives such a wonderful tone, that I really don't have to EQ much. Hope that helps!

That does help, thanks! This may be as close to what I'm looking for as I'm gonna get.

Any case for this guy or just bubble wrapped?

Nope, no case aside from what it will be shipped in (bubble wrap, etc). Includes original literature and IEC cable.
