Hi-What is the wattage rating on this cab?

greggster59 03-20-2013 11:53 AM

350W RMS

dbsfgyd1 03-20-2013 12:18 PM

It's also very efficient. You will get every bit of your 350 watts and some change to boot. Good price too.

It would! I have an 8 Ohm version under my Metro. Most Impresive! (Spoken in Darth Vader voice...)

I have an 8 ohm vesion of this and it's outstanding bottom.

Guys, 350 watts RMS in a cabinent that is 103% efficient... @ 4 ohm, you don't need a honking huge expensive amp to be loud as all get out. It portable, and fits into most cars I've driven, and isn't a back breaker.... PLUS, it sounds incredible...

Thanks for the bump bump

Putting a 4 ohm cab under the metro might not be a good idea unless the metro can handle a ~2.6 ohm load

greggster59 05-04-2013 07:47 AM

Metro's can handle a 2-8 ohm loads with no problem.

pedulla-2007 05-05-2013 07:56 AM

HMMMMM?

Correct me if I am wrong, but it even boosts the power rating with the 2 ohm load? If I start driving now, will I be late for work monday bump. GLWYS!

This is true. How much it raises the output volume I can't say but the output wattage does increase as the resistance is lowered.

If you change your mind about shipping, this is the exact cab I'm looking for. Atlanta GA 30317

The additional speaker area will generate significantly more volume (or DBs) than the additional wattage. There were a few posts on the Eden forum this week, complete with comparison charts on this very subject. So if you care to do the math, it's there.

To sumarize, in most cases, it is more cost effective to buy more speakers than a bigger amp, providing your amp can handle the ohmage load you throw at it.

Bump

This is a great cabinet. I played through just one with a Lakland 55-01 5-string at high volumes with an Eden WT-550 head and it just killed.

Kellymack 05-14-2013 07:04 AM

I'll take it if you decide to ship

Bump for an excellent punchy, super efficient cab. I used one by itself for years.
