FS: Eden CXC112 Cabinet - Chicago

Sign in to disble this ad
Eden CXC-112 1x12 coax cabinet, 200W rms / 8 ohms. $125 plus actual shipping.

Part-out prices: Driver + Crossover (with 1/4" out plug & wiring) -- $80 shipped.
Cab unloaded with handles -- $40 plus actual shipping.

Took a peek inside, the crossover is mounted on a small piece of board that looks to be glued to the back wall of the cabinet. I should be able to pull it off and keep everything together.

Also, I'd consider a straight trade for a 1x12 cab that's a little more traditionally sized (looking to stack with my Epifani UL-110). I have a neo 12" to swap in so could even work with one that's unloaded or has a blown/damaged driver.

Purchased this on the TB classifieds a few months ago, 12" coaxial driver in a slim/tall front shelf-ported cab. There is a compartment up top that's sized to fit a WT 330 head. It's in decent used/serviceable condition, some chips off the top plastic corner guards and the rat fur is a little roughed up in spots (but no rips or tears). Still has the 4 top screws to secure a head and the 1/4" connector end. I'll include the 'Eden' badge also, it's fallen off the grille but nothing's broken (just needs to be glued back on). The cabinet itself sounds very smooth, good bass extension and signal response pretty far up the spectrum without any piezo/horn-type harshness. I'd like to have a more traditionally sized cab, however, and my Shuttle doesn't quite fit snugly in the space where the Eden head would go. Looking for a local cash sale (far N side in the city) and to get back the $125 I paid. If you're interested but not local, go to FedEx and calculate the charge for a 16x16x32 box that weighs around 50 pounds (cab itself is in the mid 40's) from zip code 60660, add that to the $125 for your total.

Here's a link to the spec sheet, the picture there is a weird Photoshop creation so note there are no round ports -- just the shelf port at the bottom. Weight, dimensions, power handling, ohmage (200W RMS, 8 ohms btw) are all correct:

And here is the WT-330 head, for those who need to calculate weight of just the cab or want the dimensions of the opening up top:

Below are a few pics (no, amp on top does not come with / is not for sale).

Thanks.
Craig

Let's try this one more time. If there's no interest I'll probably just box it up and head over to the storage space...

Well, haven't been able to wrap this up yet so it's first-PayPal'ed, first served. Local pickup during my lunch hour somewhere on the N side or near North suburbs will get you a $25 PP refund, so it'll be yours for $100 even. For shipping info see top post.

Still here, if you just got to Chicago for school and need a compact-and-cheap-but-loud-enough-to-hear-yourself-over-drums cab this will do the trick...

Original post is too old to edit, but a quick bump to say that shipping isn't as bad as I thought...probably not much more than $50 to the west coast and more like $25-30 to the midwest/mid-south.

I recently had an inquiry about this, so here's a final update as I close the thread...after not generating interest for a while and being faced with space limitations I ended up doing a little work with a mini oscillating saw, some 3M adhesive and a soldering iron so it's now a regular cabinet with a 1/4" jack in the rear. Sorry, I didn't think to snap any pics before putting it on consignment but if anyone's interested and near Evanston (IL) you can check it out at The Guitar Works where it's on sale for $175.

Thanks!
