FS: Eden WT400 Traveler Plus w/rack ears and bag
As much as it pains me to do it, it is time to sell my trusty Eden WT400 Traveler Plus head. Regarded as one of the best bass amplifiers ever created. It has primarily been my backup (to my Eden Metro) for the last few years. I'm selling to appease my wife.
It has been used and gigged and some marks and scratches to show for it. The master volume knob can be scratchy/crackly. I've priced it with that in mind. I very much dislike dealing with the local amp repair shop, but I'll go that route if need be and will have to increase the price accordingly.
Includes manual, original Eden shoulder bag, original rack ears, power cable, and an extra GrooveTubes 12AX7 preamp tube.
Asking price is $435 including shipping to lower 48. PayPal preferred. CONUS preferred.
Wow, best deal on TB or anywhere.
Bump for a great seller and genuinely nice guy, and a very fine amp!
Apparently the scratchy volume knob is a common trait of the 400 (mine does it too). I find it only scratches if I turn the knob while producing sound from my bass, if I silence the bass and turn the knob, it's dead quite. Also, the knobs seem to be self cleaning. Have you tried turning the gain completely down and rotating the master volume rapidly back and forth across it's full span for a minute? That might do the trick.
Thanks for the info, I'll check that out. It hasn't really been an issue for me.
Yup, the pots can be a bit scrathcy when you don't use them too often.
Turning them full sweep several times with amp off takes care of it.
My 1997 WT-400 has always been this way.
15 years and no issues.
Sold! Thanks TB!
