FS/FT: Eden WT500 Highwayman $500 - SOLD

Sign in to disble this ad
I have an Eden Highwayman in great shape for sale or trade for a Mesa D-180 in equal condition. In 2003 it was completely serviced by Eden, all innards replaced including upgrading the fan and noise spec levels as of that date. Basically you can consider it new as of '03. Since then it has not been on the road, just studio use and a few gigs. Kept in a rack mount which I removed it from for pictures.

$500 + shipping.

Watts: 500 (250 per side or Bridged mono @ 500)
Serial: 2333
Date: Nov 14 1996

I am the second owner, purchased from original owner in '98.

Bump with shot of it on, practicing using the headphone jack.

More info, I've had it since '98 and am the second owner.

Now how exactly do these work? Bridge only at 8 ohms but 300 watts per side at 4 ohms?

I really want an Eden head but have two 8 ohm cabinets, what would it be pushing per side with an 8 ohm load?

Maybe someone else can chime in on this since I've always ran it bridged mono at 8 ohms into a 410XLT 8 ohm cabinet. In stereo mode each side is 4 ohms (250 to 300 watts per side). Does that help?

I have a WT-800 that I use in stereo mode. Each side drives two Eden D112XLT cabs that are rated at 8 ohms (4 cabs total - 2 on each side of the amp) which equates to a 4 ohm load on each side of the amp.

In stereo mode, each side of these amps (WT-800/600/500) can go down to a max of 4 ohms. So when I hang two 8 ohm cabs on each side it takes the load on the amp down to 4 ohms. Basically what I'm saying is that the output can be either 8 ohms or 4 ohms in either bridged or stereo mode. It just depends on how many cabinets you hang on it and what their ohm rating is.

Your amp is rated at 250 watts a side with a 4 ohm load. That would be either two 8 ohm cabs or one 4 ohm cab. If you used just one 8 ohm cab on a side you would probably get a power output somewhere around 175 watts.

Hope this helps....................

Can somebody educate me on the fan and noise spec upgrades? Not familiar with all of that. I have a WT500 that I bought used and am fairly certain none of this was done. Thanks for any feedback.
