This is a Euphonic Audio VL-208 that I bought used in 1999 from Bass Northwest. No cover. Pictures are
here:
Specs:
-400 watts @ 8Ω
-Transmission-line enclosure
-2 x 8" woofer, 2 x 5" mids, 1 tweeter
-Adjustable mids and highs
-18" x 17" x 13"
-48 lbs
I bought it thinking I'd be playing at least some upright through it, but really only ever played electric: 4 and 5 string. For most of its life with me, it has been paired with a Bag End S-15D, and made a great compact rig.
I have replaced
all of the drivers once, and the woofers and mids
twice now. The most recent set (woofers and mids) are
brand new old stock purchased directly from Euphonic Audio. These are NOT the lower-end alternative drivers, but those engineered / tweaked by John Dong and Co. especially for this cabinet. I've briefly tried them out and they sound great; other than that, no playing time whatever. Tweeter sounds fine. Cab is ready and waiting--for YOU.
Cosmetics aren't pristine but still are presentable. Cab did a U.S. tour back in 2002. Since then, it has been gigged now and then, but mostly has been a practice machine; non-smoking environments exclusively. Pictures show bit of finish loss on the metal grill and side handles, but no rust. Also in pics, there are only three speaker screws, but a fourth has been added with a decently matched plastic cap. One plastic corner is partly cracked, and there are a couple of bald patches in the rat fur. Otherwise, OK. Well used, but not abused, and lots of life left. And as I don't need to tell you, until further notice, Euphonic ain't making any more of these.
Old price was $800 shipped UPS ground anywhere in the lower 48.
