Looks like I answered my own question; no. At least "no" in the sense of what the original specs say (175 @ 8 ohm, 325 @ 4 ohm) vs. the new Micro (550 watts @ 4 ohms 310 watts @ 8 ohms). You did mention that yours has been upgraded though, so I'm wondering if that's changed.
Based upon what else I've read about this amp here on TB (specifically
EA iAMP Micro 300), watts may not be as big a concern for me as usual (I'm one of those people that typically feels I never have enough power...until I bought my GB Shuttlemax 12). I've got an EA VL108 and a Schroeder Mini12 for smaller stuff, which appear to work really well with the EA amps. This application would be for double bass...so perhaps I'm more paranoid about watts than I should be.
