FS Aguilar DB 728

Sign in to disble this ad
This was listed as a 680 & 728, but the 680 has been sold privately. This Aguilar DB 728 is in very good condition and has been re-tubed with JJ KT88's and sounds really nice. It's the older style amp with banana jacks on the output. The amp is in a custom-made Anvil six-space rack.

I will ship this within the lower 48. It will be packed professionally and the tubes will be packed separate from the amp.I will also consider delivering this to the new owner providing that they are within a reasonable driving distance from me(Montgomery County, Maryland). I've gone as far as Richmond VA and Little Falls NJ to deliver gear so don't assume your too far. PM me and we'll work it out.

No trades please. $1700 + shipping takes it away. Please PM me with any questions.

BUMP! I can vouch - I sold the 728 to Sliderbass, and it is a beast! I also recently played through his 680 which gave me GAS to buy one (I bought two actually!). Both units are extremely clean. The 6-space for the 728 is a high-quality Anvil ATA300 I had built for the power amp.

I owned this setup for years. THIS IS A GREAT AMP!! The biggest reason I got rid of it was it was so loud, I couldn't play on most stages. This amp and the right cab and you will be louder than most PAs!

BUMP for a great amlp

I know its a pain to ship, but if you pack the power tubes separately and get the right box with enough packing material it can go safely. I shipped mine safely to Canada. Besides you are making me miss mine. I might want you to ship it! :-)

Your best bet is to take it to UPS or Fedex and have THEM pack it for you. That way the insurance claim is cake if there's an issue. Just remove the power tubes as suggested above. Wrap them in bubble and put them in the box with the amp.

Brother, please whatever you do don't ship the amp in the case. Worse thing you can do. It will arrive in pieces. Trust me it's happened to me. Im interested in this. I'm scrounging funds.

This is true if you need to turn in a claim but a 16 yo filling up a box with Styrofoam peanuts will guarantee it arrives damaged.
I have had great success with double and triple boxing such items with each layer insulated with foam or bubble wrap (never peanuts) and tightly packaged.
