Looking for $680 shipped in the contiguous US, including insurance. I take Paypal and have a 100% rating on ebay with 300+ transactions.
Or, make me an offer. I have plenty of amps, but you are welcome to throw some bass or guitar (I play both) ideas my way. I'm looking mostly for Fender jazz basses and Strat guitars, either American Standard or high-quality import models (Marcus Miller/Geddy Lee), or possibly a Highway 1 plus some cash.
All tube head, 115 watts, 110v AC, 8ohm and 4ohm outputs (1/4" or XLR). Works great, looks great, but has been used. Stainless is in good shape with some signs of wear. All tubes work, midboost works, graphic eq works, amp is not noisy.
This amp is VERY clean for it's almost 20 year age--missing one inconsequential hex screw and comes with two KT88 power tubes. The pre-amp tubes are 2 x 12ax7. Someone put one power tube that is slightly larger than the case in it (case is very small for a tube amp, IMO), but it doesn't affect performance. Tubes were matched and biased according to the previous seller and I haven't needed to do anything to the amp since buying it one year ago. I have used it for at least 20 gigs with no problems, from musicals to pop to my 90's band, always on standby between sets.
This amp has been great and has been plenty loud enough for all my gigs. I have only played 2 gigs where I had to have the volume past 5 (on 7) and that was with a VERY loud band when I was using two 1x12 cabs. Plus, you get it on 7 and the tubes give a nice power tube growl. I got lots of compliments when we played "Sober" by Tool using this amp and the 1x12 cabs + my Music Man bass.
This amp sounds VERY tubey if you remove the switch off the graphic EQ and mid-boost from the front-end circuit. Adding those into the circuit gives you a great slap sound, but still has the warmth of the tubes/tube power section.
It's a great & versatile amp head. I'm not sure what the weight is, but I'd guess that it's around 25-30 pounds. It has two very sturdy handles and is in a nice looking stainless steel case with vents on top and in the back.
It puts out 4ohm or 8ohm loads, has a 1/4" speaker out, XLR speaker out, line in/out, phones out, as well as an effects loop. It would make a great recording head and is the perfect "small tube" head for most club gigs, and is about 60 pounds lighter than an SVT!
