| FS: Fender Bassman 100T
Have had this about a week and decided 2 things:
(1) if I were in a strait ahead rock band (especially P-with-a-pick stuff) there is probably no amp I'd chose over this.
(2) even at 25w I can't get anywhere near tube saturation tone at bedroom volumes, which is what I'm trying to get going right now. This thing is loud.
So I got an SWR interstellar overdrive to run as a 5w tube amp at home, and I'm going to let the 100t go. This thing sounds amazing just not quite a perfect fit for me.
This is in great condition other than the front grill getting bashed in a bit during shipping to me (shown in photo). That could be repaired completely by adding a bit of reinforcement to the wood grill frame, or the grill could be replaced. No structural damage to the amp. Given the damage I'm pricing it aggressively for quick sale $950 shipped to the lower 48. |
