FS: Fender Bassman 1200 Pro amp - 1200watts!

Up for sale is my Fender Bassman 1200 Pro amp. This amp dishes out 1200watts of amazing bass power. It can get louder than you would ever need it to be. This is a "hybrid", meaning it has a tube preamp and solid-state power amp. More knobs, switches, and sliders than a space shuttle, with endless tone possibilities. Comes with a really nice SKB-style light rack case. These amps sold new for around $1200 but are no longer in production. $775 shipped CONUS. Might consider partial trades for a smaller head in the 300-500 watt range, but I do also have to make some money out of this deal.
Here are some photos. The first is without the case, the second is the only one I have at the moment of it in the case.

I've been curious about these for a while.... I used to have the tube version, the 300 Pro, and it sounded awesome. it was just too awkward to carry. By chance have you played one of those too? I'm curious how this sounds in relation to it.

My high school band teacher actually had a Sunn 300T head that he always let me use (which is basically the same thing with a different name-plate on it). I don't remember too much detail, but I will say it was the reason why I bought this head. I originally tracked down a fender 300 Pro as well for about the same price as this one, but ended up opting for the 1200 because it only weighs 36 or 37 lbs instead of a ton
I think there are probably obvious differences since we're talking SS vs. tube power section, but with the amount of power at hand it's not too hard to dial in that tube warmth just by EQing it right. The dual 12ax7 preamp tubes also add a very nice touch (and overdrive when you want it).

i used to have one of these..well, it was the Sunn model.. but its the same amp... sounds VERY similar to the 300 pro.. a little less tube warmth obviously, but that can be a good thing with 1200 watts or else you get alot of swell that is too much.. This amp was probably one of the best sounding amps i ever used.. BUT BEWARE. that is one HELLUVA 1200 watts!!.. i couldnt turn it down enough!.. but if you want a loud amp this is THE rackmount to get.

Just to add, I am leaving for Germany on Tuesday and won't be back until about 2 weeks later. Just something to consider if you're interested. Thanks!
