FS/FT '96 SWR Super Redhead (Pre-Fender)
I picked up this pair in a trade with a local TB'r. While I've been lusting for this setup for years and love the tone I need something smaller to carry to smaller gigs.
The Super Redhead (pre-Fender, 350watt) is in fantastic condition, obviously it's been loved and well taken care of. The carpet is in great shape with little wear all the way around. Recently cleaned and the tube replaced with a fresh JJ. Plays fantastic all the way around, I can see why people love these combos. Awesome clean and modern tone, and I love the control of the aural enhancer, it really adds flexibility to the overall sound. Sounds great even at low volume.
While the Redhead doesn't push a huge amount of power it's helped greatly by the Workingman 210T extension cab. The Redhead sounds great alone, but with the 210T it gets up to a good usable stage volume, adding depth and power to whole sound. It's also in great condition, obviously taken care of with little wear. While it's not the Goliath you can barely notice a difference when running with the Redhead (you can tell if you a/b the cabs, but they blend awesome to where you can't tell). The 210T is sold.
While I love the combo I've been looking at the Mesa Walkabout Scout and would be willing to trade for one (+cash from me), or sell the Redhead and buy the Mesa outright. Whichever, I can't keep both, it's bad timing for us as we're saving up to buy a house and can't spare the extra cash to have two great combos. Regretfully the SWR has gotta go.
I would like to trade for a
Mesa-Boogie Walkabout Scout or sell the Super Redhead for
$675+shipping. I've also got a brand new, never used Behringer BTR-2000 1u chromatic rack tuner that I'll throw in for free. While it's not the best tuner out there, many people are happy with it, and it would fit perfect in the open 1u rack spot on the Redhead. But anyway, the Redhead is in awesome shape and I would love to keep it, but for now I need something that's easier to move up and down stairs. Open to offers, let me know.
Thanks,
Ross
