FS/FT: (2) Epifani T-212 (side by side drivers, NYC)

Sign in to disble this ad
Hi all,

For sale or trade are 2 of my Epifani T-212s (also known as the early NYC models). One is the very earliest T-212. It has 1/4" inputs only and the attenuator looks a little different. The other looks like, from what I understand, an early NYC 212. Still the side-by-side drivers, but the attenuator looks more like Nick's current designs. They sound identical.
I'm looking for $500 a piece, and that will include a LeCover padded cover. They are in excellent condition. The early T-212 is in a bit better condition, as I see a little of the rat fur on the other. Also, the NYC has a broken 1/4" jack. The speakons and 2nd 1/4" jack work fine, and I think it would be a simple fix should you need it. I've owned every 212 Nick has offered, and these are simply the best. Nick, himself, will tell you that this was a no-compromise design. I'm open to all trades, but here's what I have in mind:

Ampeg B100R
AKG D112
Bergantino HS410
GS Aguilar cabs
Bag End Birch 12" cabinet
Ampeg PF-350 or 500
Bergantino NV cabs
Evil Twin DI
Sadowsky SA410
Aguilar DB 680
Ashdown 410
Ampeg 210AV

Looking for fair market value on the trades and +/- cash as it should be applied.

Thanks!

Peter

Pic of the broken jack. You can see that it's an easy fix.

Good question. If I sell one for cash, I'll probably keep the other. I don't need 2. But I wanted to offer both for some of the trades I was asking for. Also, I've been getting into low powered tube heads lately, and these cabinets aren't ideal for that. They like 500 watts+ of solid state or hybrid power to really speak. Also, they have a lot of extended low end, so a tube head through them can be a little overkill. So, I'm just trying to find a better match for a 100-200 watt all tube head. For solid state and hybrid heads, I don't think it gets much better.

wow those are killer... I have a T-410 and it is amazing sounding. Wish I had something to trade for the older T-212. Maybe a PM might be coming your direction...

This has got about 5 days on ebay. I'm willing to cut a great deal here.
