FS/FT - AGAIN...Ashdown AD600 (210/115) Stack with add-ons

Sign in to disble this ad
Well, another original electric project has self-destructed inside of six months. So, no need to keep (3) amps at multiple rehearsal locations.

You can find the history of this rig here on TB, as I got it from eyeballkid, traded it to RobertUI and then traded to get it back.

All the specs can be found on the Ashdown web site under the legacy section...The stack consists of the AD600 Head mounted in the AL-C210H Combo 2x10 cab and the AL-115 cab.

All cabs are loaded with SICA OEM Neo drivers that absolutely kill! Yes, this is the Mark King head with a gold paint job!
Casters on the 115. The head was serviced in early 2011 and all the screws were replaced with stainless steel hex-heads.

Here's where it gets interesting. I will include a Korg DTR-2 Rackmount Tuner, as well as the gold ASHDOWN LABS 1U blank, and a 2U blank with the Ashdown winged logo on it.

Also, I had big plans for the set-up to make it more manageable, so I bought a 4U Gator Rack Bag from SameDayMusic for $90.00
and a Monster Power Conditioner as well...Both Brand New!!

Currently houses the AD600, the tuner and the Monster Power Conditioner.

Also, I just finished cutting all the pieces to make a 210 and 115 speaker cabinet out of 3/4" MDF. I matched the cubic inch measurements of each of the original cabs to within +/- 5%. Check the last post for pics, cabs are now finished and awaiting final assembly. My thought was to make things a bit more smaller and modular without altering the original Ashdown cabs!!

So...$1100.00 takes everything and I am NOT looking to ship or separate. I have enough acoustic work to keep me busy and have an amp or two if the electric project ever gets kicking again...

I am in Frederick, MD (21701) and am looking for a local deal or an extremely reasonable drive to make the hand off...

TRADES...

Would entertain smaller amp plus cash deals, acoustic-electric bass plus cash deals, acoustic electric guitar plus cash deals, and so on...

Would love a Boulder Creek, Tacoma, Godin AcoustiBass, Martin Acoustic Electric, Kala UBass, SWR California Blonde. I'll entertain just about anything at this point out of utter frustration!!

From the Ashdown Archives...They actually state that the horn is switchable, but it is not. Never an issue thanks to harmonic emphasis and EQ.

AD-600
The AL-AD600 combines the front panel features of the AL-ADRP1 bass preamplifier with an ultra-clean, fast-response 575 Watts RMS power section to create a versatile, rack-mounting bass amp head with a thrilling dynamic range.

The massive, shielded toroidal transformer is custom designed for Ashdown Labs and ensures a continuous, regulated supply to power huge transients across a wide frequency response. Preamplifier features include low impedance and conventional instrument inputs, illuminated VU meter, Harmonic Emphasis, 12-band graphic EQ, switchable pre and post EQ balanced DI output, tuner output with mute switch, line output, effects loop and speaker outputs on jack and Speakon connectors.

AL-C210H
The only combo in the Ashdown Labs range partners the AL-AD600 amp head with 2 x 10" ultra-lightweight Neodymium drivers and a high frequency horn in a 15 ply marine birch cabinet with a durable, double coated paint spatter finish. Neodymium light weight speakers ensure high power handling and exceptional mid-range attack with a bright, clear high-end and a controlled and extended low-end performance. The high frequency horn reveals every nuance of the player’s finger technique, when used in conjunction with Harmonic Emphasis. A 1U rack space is conveniently located beneath the amplifier to accommodate a tuner or effects processor, and the amplifier itself is also rack-mounting and can be easily removed for stand-alone use by unscrewing the cabinet front.

Available in black/gold or custom white/gold.

AL-115
Ashdown Labs bass speaker cabinets are constructed from top quality 15 ply marine birch with no vulnerable external badges, screws or fittings.

Unlike carpet or vinyl coverings, the double coated spatter paint finish is easy to touch-up, keeping the cabinets looking pristine even after years of work on the road. The tough, kick-proof steel grilles are easily removed, providing straightforward access to drivers.

Ashdown Labs cabinets use neodymium light weight speakers for high power handling, clarity and fast attack across the full frequency response, and are rear ported to minimise air noise.

Available in black/gold or custom white/gold.
