It has taken me almost two years to build up two very special bass amplification systems. After treading through the gear by Markbass, Genz-Benz and TecAmp very respected members of the TB community have praised, I reached the conclusion that nothing comes as close to satisfying my tonal goals as my Glockenklang and Aguilar setups. They are two truly world-class rigs.

The time has come for one of them to go. After moving from Toronto to a small city with very limited live playing options, I have been feeling the weighty pressure to get rid of one of these setups. That -- combined with my desire to rebuild my home studio -- has pressured me into the view that it is simply unjustifiable to own both of these titans.
And after months of agonizing deliberation and A/B testing, I have decided that the Aguilar is going to go. I would be happy keeping either mini-stack, but, frankly, the Glockenklang rig is much more difficult to find, and so I have made the decision to keep that. Were Heart-Rock amplifiers and Take Five cabinets easily available in North America, there might have been more of a debate.
The whole Aguilar rig pictured above is for sale, including two covers for the cabinets pictured below.
The Aguilar DB750 is $1320 USD. (DB750 is now $1225 USD! You pay all shipping charges. Paypal E-Check or money order only. Bank transfer works, too, or Interact Money Transfer for the Canadians.) It is in truly wonderful condition, and has been racked its entire life, except for pictures. It comes with the original receipt and stock tubes, though the original packaging was ditched a while ago. It is about two and a half years old, and was one of the final ones produced before Aguilar released the DB751. The rack ears are ruler straight, and there is only a very minor amount of rash, localized to the rear of the rack ears and bottom of the amplifier. The minor wear is honestly and representatively pictured in the attached photos. It has never had any issues with it, and has for 95% of its life been used in studio or rehearsal settings.

The Aguilar GS112 is $360 USD. The Aguilar GS112NT is $320 USD. Both cabinets were only used in rehearsal settings, so the plastic corners only have minimal surface scratching. No pilling or dirt of any significance on the carpet. They look new, smell new and have never been pushed past 1/4 on on the DB750. The original receipts for both are included. These are in really, really fine condition, and are about a year and two months old. (Both SOLD.)

Finally, I have two OEM Aguilar padded covers that fit the cabinets. I truly only used these twice -- once to cover my cabs while I moved across the country, and once to a country rehearsal. I am asking $45 each. (Both SOLD!)

I will pay 50% all shipping and insurance costs, international or within the United States. Paypal E-check or USPS money order are preferred.
Trades? Yes. I am giving trades priority here, since one of my main motivations is in moving the Aguilar stuff on is to rebuild my former studio. I can add cash as required. In particular, I am looking for gear by...
- Universal Audio (compressors, channel strips, preamps)
- Apogee (Duet, Symphony)
- Empirical Labs (anything)
- Euphonix (MC Mix, MC Control)
- A Designs (preamps, DIs)
- Summit Audio
- Jomox (synths)
- Vermona (synths)
- Dave Smith Instruments (synths)
Other stuff might work, too. Microphones, other compressors, preamps, etc. Give me a shot. The only basses that interest me are Kenneth Lawrence basses or Alleva-Coppolo basses. Glockenklang cabinets and amplifiers interest me, too. I could use an Aguilar tube DI or preamp. And Fender American Jazz Basses from 2008 onward, as well as the reissue series.
One other thing should be mentioned. I am driving up to Chicago from Savannah at the end of July, so would be happy to drop any of this off to you if you are somewhere along the route.
