So, you’re looking for a new bass amp. Here’s a little quiz…
- Are you tired of having your guitar player drown you out with his Marshall stack?
- Are you tired of having an amp that has so many knobs it takes forever to dial in a tone (and you don’t know what most of the knobs do anyway)?
- Are you looking for the classic tube tone, but don’t want to haul around a 100 lb head?
- Do you like to feel your pant legs move when you play?
If you answered yes to any (or all) of these questions, this is the amp for you.
Just because I'm in one of my moods where I think I'd like to try something new, I have for up for sale my Aguilar DB750. Aguilar describes this head as… a perfect combination of raw power and enormous headroom.
It’s hard to argue with that description. This head pumps out 750 watts of pure tone into 4 ohms and 975 watts into 2 ohms. If you’re not familiar with this amp, read the reviews and you’ll know why this is the amp of choice for so many bassists.
Overall the amp is in terrific condition. There is a little rack rash and few minor scratches here and there. The only issue I need to mention is for some reason both corners on each side of the amp are bent where it attaches to a rack. It was this way when I bought it and I don't know how it happened (and probably don't want to know), but the amp works perfectly. It also does not affect how it attaches to a rack at all. In fact, you can't even see the issue when it is the rack bag. As a special added bonus, it comes with a Pro Tec 3 space rack bag, which is the same bag Aguilar used to sell with it's logo.

I might consider a trade for an amp that goes down to 2 ohms (like an Eden WT-550, Mesa Big Block 750, etc.)...or I might even consider a trade for an Orange TB1000. I think most options would require some cash on your part....but just send me what you have and we can talk.
