FS/FT: Euphonic Audio VL210B Cab

This cab is incredible in every respect, but I have a hard time sticking with one thing until I've tried everything (), so it's up for grabs. This model is now discontinued; the current EA cabs are made with neo speakers and don't have the same speaker configuration. The VL210B has 2 10" drivers, 2 5.25" midranges, and a tweeter. 500W, 8 ohm. The "B" version uses heavier magnets and can handle massive amounts of power. Check out the reviews at Harmony-Central: http://reviews.harmony-central.com/r...+Cabinet+/10/1 It's in excellent shape, nothing notable as far as wear is concerned, but it's not completely flawless cosmetically. I'd love to trade for another high-end 210 or 410, but would also accept $550 shipped if someone wants to buy outright.

Here's a bump....I have two...they are 2x10's that think they are 4x10's. They can do just about anything. Rare opportunity here, people.

Question Paging Tom Bowlus!

How would this cab sound with a VL-208 sitting on top of it?

If someone in-the-know could chime in, I'd sure appreciate it!

I tried my VL208 with one of my VL210s and it sounded great... but way more than I needed for it's combination of volume and weight. The same was true on the gig I took a pair of VL210. Overkill.

If you play really loud and have the juice to drive them, they're definitely an option. My favorite two cab EA setup was my VL208 on top of VL110. A pair of 110s was cool too.

Thanks for your reply, Brad.

We've played an outdoor venue every month for several years, and although I adore the sound of my VL208, it just can't keep up in this environment.

Sometimes I think that, as much as I love my current gear, I should sell everything and start from scratch with something lighter and louder - perhaps a Wizzy 12M and one of the new doublers or an iAmp Pro.

I just played at a party last night through one of these cabs as a stand alone, and it sounded GREAT.......projects like a M.F.

-'85 Ibanez Roadstar (maple board w/ DiMarzio Ultra-jazz pups)---> Genz Benz GBE400---> a cab like the one listed above.

By itself, after some rather dramatic EQing on the amp, it kicked out the best low end I've ever heard from a 2x10.

The VL-208 and VL-210 pair up quite nicely, for sure.

Woulda bought this cab!

Seriously thought about buying this cab from you - but I was concerned that it would not work with my Ampeg SVT-VR, because the cab is 8 ohm and the amp only switches between 4 and 2 ohm. Couldn't find one locally to test it with...

Went with the Genz Benz Neox 212T instead. Good luck selling it. It seems like a great cabinet.

How about a customized 1985 Ibanez Roadstar II bass with a basswood body, maple board, DiMarzio Ultra-Jazz pups (dual-coiled), and a Leo Quann BadAss II bridge?

..........with it's Music City Asheville gig bag.

You wouldn't have to ship the cab either, since we're only a town away from each other.

The bass's wood has had 24 years to cure so it sounds GREAT with the DiMarzios installed.
....of course I'd also give you the original P/J pups, and pick guard that came with it.

anyone?

Replied...

And this is no longer for sale. Only looking for a straight trade for another high-end cab (Epifani, Markbass, Accugroove, Bergantino, Schroeder, etc.)

Cast out your lines

Wish you weren't so far - I've got a Schroeder 21012R that needs a home badly.
