The cab is sure to arrive in great shape - check out my description of the packing below in my latest reply to the thread.
Sometimes, I'm too impulsive. I had been looking for a 1212/6/1 for some time, but had never seen one in person let alone played through one before. Then I did, and it was glorious. However, they're not small cabs. This cab is around 82-83 pounds (it was mistakenly listed as weighing closer to 66 previously), and is the nicest, most indestructible looking cab I have ever owned. It sounds amazing.
It's relatively safe to say this is a one owner cab. It was custom ordered for a local TB member, Greg Backstrom, from Ron Anchak. He paid more than $1,500 for the cab, more than $120 for shipping, and I think around $200 for the amazingly detailed cover (which also wraps around the bottom of the cab!). You can even see from the lack of wear on the built in casters, this hasn't even been moved much, let alone played much. Honestly, the cab is in as-new condition. I have owned it for exactly 2 days, and have played through it a combined 30 minutes at Greg's house and at mine. Still in like new condition.
There is an adjustable horn level on the side of the cab, making it much more convenient to tweak than a rear mounted control. It has a very nice kickplate on the bottom/back to protect against rocks in parking lots, your shoe as you tilt the cab back on its huge and sturdy rear casters to move it, etc. Very nice scooped handles. A center handle on the top back of the cab. There's absolutely nothing I'm dissatisfied with in regards to the sound, volume capability, and presence of this cabinet.
I am interested in trades, but am being very picky at the moment. I have no need of instruments, amps, effects, etc., just a new does-it-all cab. I'm mainly interested in a Bergantino CN212 (direct trade) or a fEARful 12/6/1 plus cash (yes, it must have a tweeter - thank you!). Let me know if you have something else you think would be comparable.

Great deal! I'm thinking about it! I'm gigging in Port Townsend on Saturday. |

I could drive a bit to meet you, if you're seriously considering it. Are you thinking of doing a trade for one of your 12/6/1s for partial credit? We can work this out over PM. If anyone else is thinking about this, get on it!
After I receive the shipping box this weekend, I should have a much better idea of what shipping will entail. Obviously, it won't be cheap, and I don't have a price to quote just yet, but I also imagine that past a certain size and weight, the differences in price become smaller.

This can is now open for shipping! The box is great - it has the sort of pegboard cardboard, the really thick, tough kind that's almost like think plywood, on all sides including the top and bottom. Then there are specially cut pieces of 3/4" or 1" foam that envelope the cab, and a bag to put the cab in under that. I'm not sure if the custom cover will fit in the box with all the packing, it may have to be sent separately. But if you're interested in having this cab shipped, that possibility is now available.
Let me know!
