Okay I got hit with the GAS pretty bad last weekend, so I may change my mind on this and reserve the right to do so.... 2004 Ampeg SVP-Pro tube preamplifier. This is now discontinued and highly sought after. This is the preamp section of the SVT-2Pro, with an all tube driven tone stack and seperate "Drive" control. This was completely retubed last month with JJ's, and a very hi-quality, very quiet Ruby in V5 to quiet the hiss common in these units. Sounds amazing, and tracks lovely in the studio. This unit is a 9.5 out of 10 cosmetically and could pass for new except for a small scratch on the top of the unit. Functionally its 100%. You could look for a year and not find one in as good condition as this unit. ( I did!! ) Asking price is $425 + shipping. Carvin DCM1000L 2010 model, only 5 months old, and in as-new condition. This thing kicks butt. Just as much booty as some of the much more expensive featherweight power amps. 1,000 watts B/M @ 4 ohms. Absolutley SCREAMS thru my SVT-810e.
Asking price is $250 + Shipping.
I will consider trading (+ cash on your end) for the Ampeg SVT-7Pro. I tried one of these over the weekend and it got me exactly where I wanted to be. Although not as harmonically rich or adjustable as the SVP-Pro, it has everything I want and I need to clear a space in my rack. I will trade JUST the Preamp + cash on my end for the 7Pro if you dont want the power amp.
*** ABSOLUTELY NOT interested in any other trades. Also, if you're one of the coupla folks who've posted in Amps about your 7Pro having issues, obviously not interested in those...
I will have pictures up on Sunday, as the rig lives at my rehearsal space. Feel free to pm cash offers, but NOT interested in any other trades.
GO!!

The DCM1000L absolutely SLAMS at any volume.... I got into one of these "Class D Arguments" with a buddy of mine at work and we A/B'ed the Carvin against the Peavey IPR 1600 and the QSC PLX 1104. It destroyed the Peavey, which sounded anemic and very weak in the bass region, and had a harsh kinda treble response... it kept up with the PLX VERY well thru a 2-way PA with a 500w sub. Plus with all the features (limiter, rumble filter etc) on the Carvin that you just cant find in other power amps in this price range regardless of topology... there's just no reason not to go with the DCM-L series.

If I can grab an SVT-7Pro without having to sell my Preamp then I definitely will... only considering selling this rig to finance the 7.
