FS/FT: Kern IP-777, Intersound IVP, Glockenklang Take 5, Crest CA9

I've got some GAS so it is time to unload some gear!

Kern IP-777 - SOLD

Awesome pre! I currently have 2 pre/power rack rigs and I am going to trade one of them out for a head. This happens to be in the rack that is getting dismantled. You guys know the pre! Pics to come soon. Before the pics get here... there is a bit of rack hash and some of the lettering on the back panel has been rubbed off. I received it in this condition. Purely cosmetic. The knobs, switches and pots are all clean.

Intersound IVP - $275 shipped

Received this from a fellow TBer. It just isn't exactly what I'm looking for in a rack rig. I guess I'm not going for the same tone Jerry and Phil were groovin on back in the day. To me this amp sounds very similar to the Navigator I had owned. Great condition.

Crest CA9 - $550 Shipped

You know the amp! This is an older model with the internal switch. Same power specs but you have to open the chassis up to switch from stereo to mono. The right rack ear is a bit bent(received it that way) but I had it stored in a 10 space shockmount rack so racking with the ear is not a problem. Also, the fan grills are pushed in a bit... again this was done before I received the unit. The grill being pushed in does not effect functionality or air flow in any way. More pics to come soon. Here is one when it was housed in the monster rack.

I think I see no more than four or five Kern's offered for sale on TB over the course of a year. This is the best price I've seen anywhere on a used Kern in a year and half.

If I were looking for one of these, it would be gone, gone, gone!!!

Pics of the CA9 are up. Pics of the Kern to be up tonight. For fairness, I'm returning the PMs in the order I received them.

Oh Yah, PMs returned!

Same here. You can build or buy a 1' extension cord for the wall wart which solves 99% of the issues associated with them while keeping the audio clean.

I had my Furman power conditioner at the top of my rack and the Wallwart fit in real nice and snug with the top of the inside of the rack, the PS doesn't move at all. I have moved the rack around a little bit and it has never showed any signs of falling out. It is a very quiet pre.

What a great buy! I sold mine a couple of years ago for substantially more than this.

Somebody needs this piece!

Responded and Price drop on the CA9.

Possibly a Bass Art Classic up for grabs, financial woes keep getting in my way of my Glockenklangs!

Now $1000 shipped for the Take Five.
