FS/FT(maybe) Mesa Fathom / rack / cab

Sign in to disble this ad
I had this head up for sale a while back, but kept it when there weren't too many bites...but after blowing out multiple tires on MULTIPLE CARS ($$$), this baby has to go to help pay for 8 new tires.

Mesa Fathom. Here is what I know/can tell you. I am the original owner. I purchased it from American Guitar and Band in Minneapolis. I do not have the original tags/box/etc, and I did NOT register the head with Mesa...dumb? maybe...but I'm just being honest.

Its been racked since a few days after I bought it, and has been used for only 1 outdoor gig. The rest of its use has been for indoor church services. We have a large church!

I can get more pictures than the one below if you would like.

I am looking to get $775 plus shipping from central Iowa for the fathom.

If you would like the furman/tuner/rack case, I would sell the whole rack for $1000.

If you are local, and looking for a cab as well, I'd let the whole stack (rack/cab) go for $1375.The CAB is actually now a 2x12 of the neo series, but I need to get an updated picture! I don't know how much it costs to ship cabs like that...it sounds great as a "combo".

Feel free to shoot me trade offers...but cash is king with the bills popping up. I do like old fender p basses...I could sell a few of my own if one of yours makes me GAS hard enough!!!

to the top...I see quite a few folks in the m6 mega thread gassing over these...

Local sale fell through...I'm a bit surprised that there isn't more interest...I guess I didn't think 775 was all that unreasonable?

Great Price for a killer amp. At Bass Player Live here in LA this year, guys at MESA mentioned that there were only about 200 FATHOM M6 amps made; when they changed the name to CARBINE. The amp is identical and will have value to a vintage MESA collector in the future...

The customer service guys, don't ask questions, MESA will stand behind the product!!!!

BUMP

Where are you in Iowa, and is this a tube pre with mosFET power, or all tube?

Thanks!

Great amp and what seems like a reasonable price. It's still tough times in a bad economy. Even people with jobs have tightened up.

That sux about the tire issues. Sorry to hear that.

Bump!

Firemist Gold. its a '69 p.

I bought it about a year ago for $650. The original owner (local to me) had refinished it in the early 70's with a thick, home-done clear laquer, and routed for a darkstar-ish pickup in a tele-humbucking position.

A local luthier (who does great work) filled the route and refin'd the body. The tuners/neck/frets/pickups/1 pot are all original. The pickguard/tone pot/body finish are non-original.

I ended up paying 300-ish for the strip/route fill/refin and setup. Its probably the one piece I'll never sell. It might not be worth as much as it would be "all original", but its got amazing tone, and I love the neck...

But I digress....SALE PENDING on fathom. Waiting on some buyer info.

I'll be listing a GK neo 2x12/rack/tuner/conditioner in other ads.

I love when amp moves to Texas. So much warmer than Iowa.

Sounds like a plan my friend. Funny thing is, I've been without an amp since I missed that Genz you had in August
