FS/FT: Seymour Duncan Bass 400 head

Need BIG tone ?

Seymour Duncan Bass 400 amp head

I'd keep it (because it sounds great !), but I have other amps, and I'm looking to consolidate. (and possibly get a mini head !)

Fresh out of being serviced. Has a slight amount of background hum, pretty normal for these...can't hear it while playing. Lots of great, clean power. 400W @ 4 ohms, 600W @ 2 ohms. This is designed to run at 2 ohm loads all day long. Imagine a GK type sound, but with just a bit more character. NOT a lightweight amp though...BIG transformer, BIG cooling fins. Anyway, this one has seen some use, thus the low price...

I'll post pics tomorrow

SOLD

Also consider trades for Jazz and Precision basses and parts, trades for/toward a Genz Benz Shuttle 3.0 (or similar mini amp), etc, etc - try me !

Here's a picture of the head. It's not pretty, but it sounds great and was just gone through by Bill Webb (of Fulton-Webb amplifiers)

Back in the day

When that amp came out it was in a league of it's own. I used mine every night with 2, 410 tolex Guild cabinets (now Hartke).
It was delightfully brutal.
