FS/FT: SUNN 2000S

Hello all!

Yes, it sounds as good as you'd imagine it would!
Nice and vintage-y fat thump.....but enough tonal flexibility to have a variety of tones.

I got this in trade a while back, it's been gone over by a tech, and everything is up to par. The amp was freshly retubed, as you can see in the pictures. I've been jamming on it and never had a problem.
( I don't have the back panel.)

The reason I'm selling it is because I don't need it.
(...and it has more volume then I need)
I'm gigging with a Mesa M2000....that fits nicely in a rack case.....plus I'd hate to beat the crap out of the SUNN loading it in and out of the van!!!

If you have any questions, feel free to ask!

These things are selling really well on eBay right now....some going for $1300.
As for trades, I'm open to anything......I just like to leave that option open.....even though I'm not really looking for anything in particular. Otherwise, I'd like to get $1000 shipped.

Mr Gas King:

Sunn Brother!

I also own a Sunn 2000 & Boogie 2000 & Boogie 400.

and only take the Sunn out certain blues gigs.
I usually use the 400 most of the time for gigs.

How do you like it as compared to the MB 2000?
Most of the guys I work with like Sunn better than the MB2000 for blues !

Well, the Mesa M2000 has a million more options, but the 2000S really brings the tone. Fat, thick and vintage.
To me, I would say the SUNN can go from deep smooth dub type tones to tight middy type thud.

I love the M2000 because of it's flexibility, works great live.
I'm playing a super loud heavy rock, so I like to keep the SUNN at home for jamming alone or with friends. Don't want to trash it by loading it in and out of the van.

Well, I've had it for a few months at least.

It sounds great, but I don't need it.

I'm finding I like a more modern tone too.

As of right now, I'm gigging with my Mesa M2000.....the SUNN doesn't seem practical for me right now.
It's plenty loud enough, and all that......like I said....it would get trashed in the van.....and I'd hate to do that to such a nice amp.

Plus, I literally have an inventory of gear.....I'm just trying to clear out as much as I can.
Get down to maybe 2-3 basses and one amp.....two guitars and two or three tube amps.

Agreed. Plus it's so bulky!
I use MB 2000 for doubling on upright bass & electric too.
But the Sunn does have best tone!
