I've got an SWR Baby Blue II combo that's up for sale or trade. 160 watts into two 8" speakers and a 5" cone tweeter, built in DI, tube preamp, tuner out, headphone jack, ext. speaker out, etc. It's a really cool amp, sounds great, small, portable, etc. I'm thinking I might like to trade it for a micro rig with more power. I really like this amp, I just need more power and it needs to have a small footprint.
My baby blue is in great shape. I got it used, and it might be the cleanest used amp I've ever seen. Since I've had it it's been sitting in my living room. I basically use it as a practice amp. I let our bass player at church use it last week for a service. It served him well (used the amp's DI to go to the house, the amp itself provided the stage volume) but after seeing how much he had to push it to get usable volume with a band in our church (converted basketball gym with a full, loud band) its got me thinking I need more watts. I did use it last weekend for a small gig, and it filled a pretty big room no problem, didn't even have to crank it, think I had the master at around 9-10 o'clock.
I'll sell it outright or trade.
Here's what I'm looking for: a small, moderately powerful head (at least 300-400 watts) and a small cab (1x12 w/tweeter would be great) Here are some examples below:
Head: EA iamp 300 or 350, any of the smaller Eden heads, phil jones, Genz Benz shuttle, etc.
Cab: 1x10 or 1x12 with tweeter--swr, eden, aguilar, EA, GK, Gens Bens, etc.
Selling this outright for $625 + shipping.
I don't NEED to trade or sell this amp, just want something different, so please don't waste my time with lowball offers. Partial trades will be considered (i.e your head or cab + cash for my amp) as well as straight trades. I'm in the OKC metro area, but I'm willing to drive at least as far as the Dallas/Ft Worth area to meet (just got a new car, so I'm totally up for a road trip!). I'm willing to ship if you're farther than that. Let me know if you have any questions.
