FS/FT SWR Super Redhead / Goliath Jr. III Rig FS Local Boston Area Only...

Okay, this thing needs to leave my kitchen NOW! Priced to move!

Lightly used 2X10X2 SWR bass rig up for grabs. Super Redhead combo coupled with a Goliath Jr. III extension cab. I believe the Super Redhead combo used alone is rated 350 watts @ 4 OHMS and 400 watts @ 2.67 OHMS when coupled with the Goliath Jr III (8 OHMS). Plenty loud! Super clean rig and an absolute STEAL @ $600! Super clean rig and an absolute STEAL @ $900 $800 $700 600!

I am the second owner and have never gigged this rig. I can't speak for the original owner, but he insisted that it was used in the studio only. The Goliath Jr has literally only been plugged in once (no need for all that while practicing). The only thing I noticed is the Effects Blend pot for the effects loop was intermittent at providing an even balance, but I never knew if it was my vintage 80's 1/2 rack effects, or my ****** patch-cords causing this. With that said, there is a single rack space under the head for effects (a nice compressor, tuner, wireless system, etc, etc). The front cover to the Redhead doubles as a tilt-stand when used separately. The carpet is clean, wear-free, and in all around great shape. The HEAVY-DUTY chrome grills are as well and really stand out.

As the pics will show, this has been tastefully modded for practicality and travel in mind. I changed out the crappy stock latches with nice euro latches and added a protective front cover to the Goliath Jr. to match the Redhead. I also added a latched cover to the back of the Redhead so you can stow cords, power strips, effects, etc. The corner protectors have all been replaced and repositioned so that the Redhead sits precisely secure on top of the Goliath. I took the casters off the Redhead and put them on the Goliath for easy transport.

Cash is King, but feel free to shoot me any and all interesting offers. Basses, effects, Macs, etc, etc...

Again, this is local only (no shipping), but I would be willing to do some partial travel.

PICS:

I noticed that you were unsure about the power you have listed in the add and what you have is a 400 Watt rig when used with the 8 ohm Goliath Jr. The Super Redhead alone is a 4 ohm combo amp. this is from the manual below, cheers and good luck getting it out of the kitchen too, looks great!

POWER OUTPUT (minimum):
350 Watts @ 4 ohms (internal)
400 Watts @ 2.67 ohms (or with an 8 ohm extension speaker connected)
450 Watts @ 2 ohms (or with a 4 ohm extension speaker connected)
Note: Internal speaker impedance is 4 ohms.

Yeah, I was definitely unsure about that as the original owner had no literature on hand and the SWR site only had manuals for the newest one. OP corrected! Thanks for the heads-up!
