FS/FT: USA Ampeg B1RE Bass Head

Putting up my Ampeg B1RE head. Great USA made solid state head that I picked up as a backup head. Unfortunately I have 3 different 4 ohm Peavey cabs and need a backup head that will go down to 2 ohms.

Its a basic solid state head in very good condition. It has some scratches or rack rash on top. No issues with the amp. The 300 W rating is accurate. It's much better than other basic amps in the this range. It's pretty comparable to the SVT 350 I had a few years back.

Standard product description:

The Ampeg B1RE is a 300W Solid State Bass Head. It has an XLR balanced line out, MOSFET power amp, optocoupler limiter, and effects loop. The Ampeg B1RE Bass Amp Head features a solid 300W of output @ 4 ohms, 3-band EQ, and preamp out/power amp in jacks.

Asking $250 shipped

Trade for a 2ohm head - Peavey Nitrobass, Firebass, or Max head or possibly an Acoustic B600. I'm not sure what other heads go down to 2ohm.

I'm borrowing a sweet Carvin that I plan to keep so I'm no longer looking for a 2ohm head. I may consider trading for/toward a Fender PJ bass (Aerodyne, Reggie, Bello, etc) or Warwick Corvette. Black finish only as usual.

Updated post. I'm borrowing a sweet Carvin B800 and am planning to keep. Mostly looking to sell but also looking for a nice Fender P or PJ bass. Maybe a Warwick.

The B1RE is a nice USA-made Ampeg head for not a lot of money. Plenty loud, easy to EQ. Bump for a great deal.
