When was the last time you saw a FULL STACK MM? This amp was manufactured in the 1st year that Leo Fender launched MusicMan (1974), it is S/N - AN00530. This amp has the 12AX7 Tube Phase Inverter and is not one of the later versions with the solid-state preamp. IMHO, these are warmer sounding by far. I bought it new in the first week of January 1975 with my New Years Eve gig money! 36+ years with me and she still sounds great and looks incredible. The cabinets weren't available when the amp was made so they came later and still have the original speakers which also sound great.
The condition of the head is Excellent with a little oxidation on the chrome (standard issue on these!) and intact Tolex. She was re-tubed with Mesa tubes sometime back but they only have a few hours on them.
I would characterize the cabinets as Very Good+. There are a few nicks and a couple of re-glued Tolex zips but no real Tolex loss. The speakers are original issue and sound great. The grill cloth on the cabs (NOT the head) was replaced with MojoTone #6300001 Aged Black/White/Silver grill cloth and matches the head perfectly. You can see this in the pics. Considering they were gigged regularly for over 20 years they're incredible.
Rig is in Albany, NY. NOW $1195/OBO, interesting trades considered. BTW, THIS RIG IS A LOT LOUDER THAN YOU'D EVER EXPECT IT TO BE! MusicMan 65 Stack pictures by kensmithphotobucket - Photobucket

Bump for a great rig.
I played this amp, and one 1x15 cab in 1977.
Sweet tone.
If you consider breaking up rig, i would be interested in Head? |

A buddy of mine had a similar rig to this with (2) 212RH cabs and I could not believe how amazing it sounded. I chased his sound for years and swore one day I'd have a rig that sounded that good. I managed to do it, but have always had a soft spot for this rig...
