Selling my Ampeg V4B (V4-B, V-4B). It's an earlier model, pre Magnavox. It has the metal knobs and the metal switches. Cosmetically it is in very good shape, very minor wear. It is missing the Ampeg nameplate, however.
This amp was recently serviced. It is currently sporting 4 brand new Ruby 7027CZ's, 2 Ruby 12AX7AC5's, a Ruby 12DW7, and a JJ 12AU7. The filter caps and rectifier diodes were also replaced. The power cable was changed to a new 3 prong. It also got a complete cleanup, and had some solder contacts repaired. I have the service receipt, totalling $476.62. This amp is in tip-top shape, both functionally and cosmetically. I believe the tubes are also under a 6 month warranty.
I am located in the Northern Bay Area, California. I'd like to try to sell this locally first, but if no one bites, I'll open it up to CONUS shipping. I'm asking $750OBO. This may be high, but the amp is in very good shape and just got almost $500 in repairs and tune up.

I'd really like to stick to local sales, or even US shipping if need be.

My intent was not to bash seller.
I was pointing out that just because you put $500.00 into amp.
That does not make it a $1000.00 amp.
If he had to put $500.00 into it, maybe his original price of $600.00 was high in that condition.
Bottom like it's a great amp, And it's worth what someone is willing to pay for it. |

Anyone who feels the price is too high is welcome to make me an offer on what they think it's worth. Anyway, new pics, check them out, guys & gals. This amp is really clean, I wanted to show it in the pics.
