Selling my higher power rig to raise some $$. Everything here purchased new by me and very well taken care of. Everything works perfectly. All cords, papers included. Some details:

2001RBP: Essentially the preamp section from the GK 2001RB. You get the great GK sound, plus an added distortion channel. Includes foot switch (clean/distortion channel, and mute).

DCM1500: The last version of this amp that Carvin made, 500 watts/channel at 4 ohms, 300 at 8 ohms. Bridged mono, 1500 watts into 4 ohms and 1000 watts into 8 ohms.

Gator rack: 3 space shallow rack, nothing busted or cracked, but the usual light scratches from use.

I added chrome rack handles to the DCM1500 to match the preamp and to make handling the amp easier. I'd like to sell this as a unit and if you buy it all, I will include a custom made patch cord to connect the preamp to the power amp, and a very nice little Y power cord that connects to both components and lets you power the whole thing with one longer cord (not included).

Asking $700 shipped in the lower 48. PayPal ok. Again, I'd like to sell the whole thing but might consider separating.

Thanks for your interest guys. I got an inquiry earlier today about just the preamp, so if it does not go thru, I will let you know.

The person inquiring about the preamp isn't interested anymore, so everything is still available.

This is a very nice rack setup. As a former DCM1500 player, I can tell potential buyers that it is a monster power amp. It's clean and muscular, and it will drive any combination of speakers imaginable. Try three 8-ohm cabs per channel, or two 4-ohm cabs per channel. LOUD! DCMs also have tremendous headroom even with a ton of low-end boost.

I don't think a lot of people have heard the 2001 preamp. Think a much more versatile version of the classic GK 800 head. There is enough tonal flexibility with the 2001 for just about any player. The distortion/overdrive is much more usable than the drive available on the GK 800.

This is a nice compact rack setup. I have the same Gator 3-space effect rack, which the DCM fits perfectly. This rig will have some heft to it, weightwise, but the Gator rack handles are very easy on the hands, so carrying this setup with one handle will work.

The rush toward lightweight heads continues unabated, as it has for the past four years or so, but I will tell anyone who has not played through a superb rack setup like this, that a lightweight class D head cannot do the tone and sheer power that this rack can do. Talk about "bonecrushing" tones! This will do it. IMHO, this rack is pretty dang impressive, and the price is super.

Tip of the hat to the seller, and good luck with the sale!

I want to throw in one more thought.

I recently bought a Shuttle 9.0. Great price from Greg Bump at Rocket Music- $750ish. Does anyone think there is ANY comparison between a Shuttle 9.0 and this rack, at $700, for sheer power, tone and value?

It's like comparing a Mini-Cooper and a 427 Mustang. Maybe the Mini-Cooper is the rage right now and is nimbler and fits in better in heavy traffic in Atlanta. But the Mustang will blow its little butt right off the road and not break a sweat!

The Shuttle is smaller, lighter, and more practical in many respects. BUT----!
