Well, after purchasing a Streamliner 900, I was going to keep this bad boy for large shows, and for the great tone and versatility that it brings to the table. The thing can do 2 ohms, you can mix the FET and Tube channels using the footswitch to get a sweet boost when you need it. The EQ options are virtually limitless.
BUT, I need to add to my bass arsenal so I've decided to sell it and cross my fingers that I won't regret it later.
Now, this amp functions perfectly, even though it has two minor and easily repairable issues. The first is that the power cord retention clip in the back came loose (probably from someone tripping over the cord) while at a show during set-up. It still works fine, but I've had to be careful unplugging it for the past 8 months.
The second is a knob that was lopped off by my drunk lead guitairst when he loaded it into my truck without the covers on the rack case one night about six months ago. Needless to say, he was punished severely for that.
I have continued to rehearse and gig with this head for the past six months notwithstanding these two issues.
The only reason I haven't gotten them fixed is that I don't use the function that the broken knob controls and it continues to work perfectly otherwise. Also, it has been up til now my only head.
So, I have spoken to Andy at GB, and he told me that while these issue are easy for them to fix, probably not so easy for us. So what I propose is that I sell it and ship it to GB on behalf of the new owner for the repairs and a once over, and then have them forward it on to the new owner.
Or, I can sell it even more cheaply and the new owner can deal with the repairs if he/she is so inclined.
So for option #1, I would sell it for $650, including the cost of shipping to GB and then shipping to the new owner, or
for Option #2, I would sell it for $550 shipped directly to the new owner.
I'll put pics up tomorrow to show the issues and that otherwise the head is in great condition.
