FS: LDS 15/6 with upgraded fEarful crossover

Sign in to disble this ad
I have here an LDS 15/6 built nearly to fEarful specs - he used an early fEarful diagram and made a couple minor deviations (midrange cup instead of box, but additional bracing).

The tuning may be a tad on the low side - I'm guessing 42hz from my measurements.

Specs:
Kappalite 3015LF
18sound 6nd410
Greenboy CBG crossover from Leland @ SpeakerHardware, installed by me
Midrange polarity corrected per recent design notes
Passive attenuator disconnected.
Two spring loaded handles
Material: Poplar 5/8" ply as near as I can tell
Size: 16 1/2" deep, 20.5" wide, around 31" tall (all measurements are "ish" - the coating adds a little and the corners/feet stick out, etc.)
Coating: Polyurea rhino type coating
Weight: 48-52lbs

notes:
--Pickup only in Phoenix AZ for now unless you want it packed and shipped at your expense from a UPS or Fedex store. This would be 100+ dollars.
--There are some spots where I filled holes on the baffle--hard to see but it's not cosmetically perfect
--There will be scratches on this cabinet. I have gigged it extensively (probably close to 50 shows). The cabinet is in perfectly working order.

Pics--more on request or check it out in person

Trades considered
8 ohms
Price: 550

Free bump for an upstanding TB'er and a cab that absolutely rocks!

I had a pair of these cabs, and I could level buildings if I wanted to.

These cabs are the real deal. No joke.

Rpsands- I'm out of AZ at the moment but would like to check the cab out when I get back - maybe this weekend? What sort of trades would you consider? What is the power handling rating for the cab?

Power handling is roughly 550w/1100w rms/peak if I had to compare it to conventional cabinets, but that's all a bunch of confusion really.

Fedex ground to 44685 would be around 90 bucks. I'll eat anything over 100 bucks shipping to anywhere in the continental US.

You can see video of me rocking it here with the Markbass SD 1200

Trades..probably on a case by case basis. I might be interested in a big cabinet under 100lbs (e.g. like a GK 4x12 neo or something). Maybe a 5-string American jazz. Maybe pedal(s) + money. I really am in need of a nice compressor pedal (FEA is on the top of my hitlist).

Bump for a great guy and a very nice cab. If you're contemplating this cab you'll need to think fast before I decide to grab it...

This one's still up for grabs for the time being. Get it while it's hot (read: before I decide to build a 1515/66 instead and yoink the components
