FS - Markbass SD800

Hey guys,

I've had my Markbass SD800 up for trade for a while now, but I'm finally at the point where I'd rather sell it and save up the cash for another amp.

I bought this amp new from Musician's Friend about 3 or 4 years ago and have never had a single issue from it. However, when it was shipped to me, one of the rackmounts came loose and had a go at the amp's underside. All the scratches are purely cosmetic and do not hurt the amps functionality in any way, but they need to be pointed out (see pics). Besides those scratches, the amp has been babied and has no other marks or signs of wear and tear.

I also purchased the Markbass carrying case for the amp. It's in mint condition and has worked great as a means to transport the head, my Pitchblack, DI, and all my necessary cables. Since the amp is only 8lbs, you can just wear the bag like a backpack and forget about it! It makes load-in and out a breeze.

The head pushes 450w into an 8ohm cab, and 750w into a 4ohm cab. To say the least, this thing gets LOUD. I've never had to push the gain or master past 10 o'clock to keep up with 2 guitarists, a keys player, and a hard-hitting drummer. The amp also runs really cool, even while playing for hours outside on a hot, Memphis day.

The parametric mids are also amazing on this head once you figure out how to use them properly. You will never have trouble cutting through a mix or finding the perfect place to 'sit'. I've used this amp for everything from progressive music like Tool and Rush, to funky jam music like Phish and Umphrey's, to metal ala Pantera and Megadeth, and it has worked great in each.

To say the least, this has been a wonderful amp. I'm only looking to sell it because I want to try other things and see if there's anything else out there that's more 'me'.

For additional specs, check out:

I'm pricing this to hopefully sell it fast. Let's say $635 shipped and insured in the 48. Sorry, no international.

Thanks for the look!
