FS: Mesa D-180
Never say never, right? Sometimes, you just have to let go. :bawl:
Good cosmetic condition, functions perfectly, sounds fantastic. The power tubes are a recent set of JJ's. $700
shipped FedEx CONUS. No trades on this one. Rack case not included. I'll get more pics this weekend.

for the love of god. how's it compare to the Buster?
|Primakurtz ||01-10-2014 04:59 PM |
The D-180 gets much dirtier - much, much nastier, if you want.
Still very quick & bright, but not quite as glassy as the Buster, IMO.

The guy asking for the perfect low power tube amp for his e-drum stage NEEDS this amp.

Again and again.

How old are the tubes?
|map34157 ||01-11-2014 08:54 AM |
My old amp. Great great tube amp. If I wasn't using my Prodigy exclusively, I wouldn't hesitate buying this back. Bump for a good dude.

The tubes are pretty recent - low hours on them. Bomp!
|monsterthompson ||01-13-2014 01:13 PM |
Almost wish I hadn't grabbed your Buster.
|deputy42 ||01-17-2014 02:01 PM |
I hope someone buys this so I don't have to be tempted so.
this is my go to amp for all projects, and if i need to be clean and dirty during a show i throw the rat tail in front of it

If I didn't already own one, shipping would be doable thanks to relatively low weight. Might be an Aussie with cash. They are easy to convert PT to 240v supply.

My brother - you speak truth - the D180 is super-versatile. In addition, the combination of an L2000 going into this beast is truly astounding (but you already know that).
Unlike you, though, I haven't been able to bring myself to play it clean much - I slam the pre and crank it into power tube overdrive too. The pedals in my sig are there to take me to 11, 12, AND 13. You know - that extra push off the Cliff...
Truly a sleeper amp deserving of a position in the pantheon of legendary all-tube bass amps.

Agree completely bump.
the l2k, vintage jazz, and the sb-2 kick butt with this head

stop bumping this thread ;)
it hurts my wallet.

I get the sweetest EUB tone with mine, and rock out equally well. So versatile.

"sleeper amp of the century" bump.
|bobicidal ||01-30-2014 04:12 PM |
Tempting. Why are there front and rear loops?
|bassgod0dmw ||01-30-2014 04:47 PM |
It's just the way Boogie made em'. 400/400+ has both front and rear FX loops as well.
I presume the front loop was meant for pedals and the rear loop is meat for rack stuff, just the keep the cabling neat.
