I recently got an M9 so now my Carbine M6 is up for sale. I am the original owner. I bought it new from Rudy’s in NYC on January 15, 2009.
I just received it back from Mesa mid April 2010. It has been completely upgraded, modified and re-calibrated to run much cooler and more stable than the original M6’s. Please note the new lid has much more ventilation than the original lid had.
There are some scratches on the bottom of the amp from putting it in and out of a rack (see pics) but other than that as you can see from the pictures the amp is just about mint.
Can you find a less expensive M6 on TalkBass? Of course you can! But after the Mesa upgrade this is essentially a brand new amp and has “zero” mechanical issues of any kind. Now add to that the fact that the amp has almost 4 years left on Mesa’s transferable warranty and there is no down side for you. You are totally protected if something should happen to the head down the road.
For those of you who are familiar with the M6 you know the amp is ridiculously loud, phat, quick & punchy. For those of you who are unfamiliar…you need one of these. Seriously…it kills!
