THIS IS FOR THE AMP ONLY
These are without a doubt one of the best amp designs ever. So good, that I ended up with two of these bad boys!
To save myself some time I'm going to just re-post a review I did when I got my first walkabout.
"To say I was blown away by the tone doesn't even come close to describing how I feel about the little Walkabout. It sounds almost exactly like my SVT, but with a much more musical and versatile EQ. The amp just plain sounds like a straight up tube amp, hands down. I know others have stated the same thing, but midrange has so much going on and the overtones are just rich and musical. I've been searching for an amp/bass that would really give me that full rich sound when playing chords and I finally found it with this combo. There really is so much more musical information coming out than with other amps. I feel like I went from Mp3's to an old reel to reel, but without all the background noise.
I love the parametric EQ. I've always needed one and hate going with preset EQ frequencies. I cut about 3 db at 30 htz to clean up the low end and get rid of some of the mud. I also boosted the low-mids at 200 htz by a couple dbs. I have the gain at around 1 o' clock and the master at 9:00 for home use. I just LOVE the tone I'm getting. I haven't pushed it to it's max yet, but it's very loud so far. I'm thinking about picking up another Bergantino 2x12, possibly an HD212, to be able to run it at 2 ohms. I also have my SVT-CL for larger gigs.
I've been chasing the perfect tone for years and I think between the SVT and the Walkabout into my AE212, I finally have it."
This one is the silver faced version with the black writing and it's in excellent shape. Everything works great on it. If I didn't have two, I wouldn't sell this one in a million years.
Price: $515 plus shipping. I'm going to keep this in the US since I had a lot of issues shipping international last time. I will not ship via FedEx ever again, but happy to ship via UPS or USPS.
Pictures coming soon!
